Ioannis Photiades
Ioannis Photiades is part of the Cyprus Educational Mission and he has held the Headteacher role in our school since he was first appointed in London. He is also the teacher of the school’s Year 6 Group. Ioannis holds a BA in Primary Education from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education from the University of Manchester, while also having acquired Qualified Teacher Status in 2015. He has gained extensive experience within the British Educational context, having taught at various English schools, international primary schools and Greek community schools (paroikiaka) continuously from 2015-2022. He also led the Greek School of Oxford as its Headteacher during the school year 2019-2020. Ioannis is very interested in the Greek language, as well as in the Greek-Cypriot history, civilization and culture. He is always keen on conveying such knowledge to students, alongside the Greek values and spirit.
Eleftheria Katsoni
Eleftheria is an enthusiastic, positive and hardworking teacher driven by a passion for transmitting knowledge to new generations. With a bachelor's degree in Greek Pilology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specialising in Classical Studies, and a masters degree in Antiquity from the University f Birmingham, she has laid a strong academic foundation. Currently, Eleftheria is a qualified teacher serving as a supply teacher across various schools in London. since 2022, Eleftheria has been an active member of the Hazelwood Greek School, where she enthusiastically imparts the richness of the Greek language and culture, inspiring her students to explore their heritage.
